What this policy covers

This policy concerns personal data for which ConsensusDesk determines the purposes and means of processing, including account administration, authentication, service security, billing, support and compliance with legal obligations.

Customer-controlled agreement data

When a customer uploads or enters personal data about clients, recipients or signatories for its own agreements, the customer normally determines why that data is processed. In that situation the customer is the data controller and ConsensusDesk acts as data processor under the applicable Data Processing Agreement.

Data we may process

Depending on how the service is used, this may include account and contact details, authentication and security events, subscription and billing information, support communications, and technical information required to operate and secure the service. Signing processes may also create timestamps, identifiers, document hashes, IP addresses and browser or device information as evidence of the transaction.

Why we process data

Data is processed as necessary to provide and secure ConsensusDesk, administer accounts and subscriptions, authenticate users, communicate about the service, prevent misuse, comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Retention and rights

Personal data is retained only for as long as required for the relevant purpose, contractual retention arrangements or applicable law. Rights under the GDPR may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, depending on the circumstances and legal basis.
